Welcome to the very first words of the Life Underway blog! I am typing this in front of the fireplace in a “normal” house, but one fine day this blog will be coming to you from an RV. You see, Hubby and I have been planning for many years to live in an RV… then we changed our minds and decided we wanted to live aboard a sailboat… and now we’re back to the RV plan.
So far we have done a lot of research, and we’ve learned a lot; mainly, that there is still so much to learn!

You have probably noticed that there are a lot of blogs out there about full-timing in an RV. There are blogs by singles, couples, families with kids, folks who are working and those who are retired. This blog is a little different, in that we’re not there yet. (Some may also say we’re not all there, but that’s another topic.) We’re still in the planning stages, and I hope that sharing our experiences (including false-starts and mistakes) can help others who may be thinking of living on the road (or on the waves) but are still in the dreaming/wishing/planning/saving stages.
Some of the topics I’ll be posting about:
